Peace out Austin

It completely boggles my mind that Strider can go from never really interacting with a cat (except for one that once attacked her), to sleeping in the same room with three of them.
Speaking of Strider I found a little pup outside of Petco that looked a lot like her.
My last night in town, Sarah took my broke ass out and bought me a whole bunch of drinks (how wonderful is this girl). We took bikes and rode them downtown for a little bar action. Met some more really nice people.
This was on the wall in one of the bar bathrooms.
Woke up and hit the road to New Orleans. Drove through lots and lots of swampland. This place is unlike anything I have ever seen. Tomorrow I head downtown to get some food and see what this city is all about. Then I am off to see John Deloach in Tallahassee.

Austin Texas

Finally after all that driving in Texas I end up in Austin.

This is Sarah, I went to college with her and she is lovely enough to put me up for the next two days. The first thing we do is start making food. She cooks up all sorts of amazing things and she has me help with some of the chopping and mincing. A few people come over and we eat the feast, chat and drink some beers.
After all the fooding we end up bar hopping at some dive bars. We get enough courage in us to break into a local pool and swim till four in the morning. Bed time was greeted with some homemade bruschetta and then sweaty sleep on a couch. A fun as hell night. Sarah and her friends straight up rule.
Downtown Austin.
The next morning I take Strider down by the river to this sweet little dog park.
Of course I run into Chris, we went to the same high school together. He was in New York and he is heading to San Diego. Small f'ing world! Drinks tonight anyone?

Western Texas

Not much to say about this place

I knew this would not go as planned

So this Austrailian guy meets a girl from Bolivia on the internet and decides to marry her. For whatever reason he is in Phoenix and him and his buddy are going to Vegas with Tom. I am not sure how I got convinced to go considering it's completely in the wrong direction that I am going. But thats what happened.
We stayed at the Tropicana which is pretty sketchy. Tom and I end up polishing off most of a bottle of Schmirnoff and visiting most of the casinos on the strip.
We met these weirdos from San Diego and went drinking with them for a time. We went to some Irish pub and then we end up at Excalibur playing beer pong before I black out. The details are a little fuzzy after that. I got into a wrestling match with the Austrailian in the middle of the road and he fucked my drunk ass up. Needless to say I had one of the worst hangovers of my life after that. My body is riddled with cuts, bruises and my right hang is throbbing.
Some McDonalds and a few beers later I am hanging out with a bunch of rugby players in a bar outside of Phoenix the next night. Shuffleboard rules! I am hitting the road in a bit (Sunday afternoon). I think I am skipping New Mexico and heading straight for Austin.

Phoenix

Made it to Phoenix around 11:30 AM and met up with Thomas. He then drives me downtown and we work with his Autistic children. We teach the kids how to exercise and we then play a mean game of kickball. It's fun as hell. Good kids.
After a few bars, drinks and a burger, I am up on the roof around four in the morning with this joker.
Tyler
I am not sure why we decided to start throwing tiles into the street, but I am sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Climbing off the roof I fell out of a tree and landed right on my back. The arm is scraped!

Hits the road

So I finally hit the road. I make it all the way into the middle of the dessert when my fuel tank springs a leak and I am stuck on the side of the road. I am there for about a minute when a young cop named Jerry comes and gives me a lift to go get gas. I buy one of those gas tubs and then get back to the car on the side of the highway. Luckily the sun was going down so it was not a million degrees. Put about five gallons into the car and then limped onward to Yuma. Place is a god damned shit-hole. Although the people are very nice. Gun stores and giant Churches that look like Wallmarts. I sneak Stider into a hotel and stay the night.
The next morning Strider and I walked with my brand new tub down the road to get more gas (the car leaked out the remaining five gallons at this point). Then we found a mechanic around seven AM and he put the car up. He replaces this tiny little plastic thing near the fuel tank and then the car is fixed! I gave the man twenty bucks and then I was back on the road.
The black phantom shall rise again.

Makes enough granola to feed a small army. I should be eating cheap on the trip.

I walked forever to get this Chinese bike, only to have it break two minutes into riding it. So I stuck it behind the Bayard house.
Drank tiki drinks with Scott and Terita
Chris and I shoot hoops

This is what I have been up to...

Hanging out with Doom Dog
Taking Strider to the beach
Eating here
Walking till my feet bleed
My dream car that was made the year I was born

This is what I find today

There is funny video here

Signs of a very productive man.

Strider and I sit and wait for our adventure back east to begin. The black phantom (my shitty Saturn) my smelly dog Strider and I are hitting up some Dirty Shouthern cities before heading up to New York. It will be a time.
